On Dying

Will we ever comprehend the fragile nature of life?

If we never miss something until its gone, will we miss living when we're dead?

Who will remember our passing? Who remembers the people we were when we were alive and vibrant, oh so full of ourselves and the seeming invincibility of simply being us?

Who mourns the ones who've passed, the ones who could've made a difference but never had the chance?

Is there a god? Does he give a fucking damn about who we are? Does he only care for the christians? The muslims? The jews?

Is life futile if all that is ours doesn't stay ours? If fleeting moments are all we have, what is life worth?

When people die, they take a piece of us with them.
