Anyway, there's a point to all this, and the point is this: My opinion - which may not count for much but it's my personal log so it counts for something - is that a decent local girl does not enter into a serious relationship with an older, wealthier ang moh. Why? Because some stereotypes are based upon certain unimpeachable truths - for instance, that there are materialistic women who will perform gratituous deep-throat for spare cash on the side. Or that there exist women who are veritable cock-mongers with fetishes for white meat. Note that I have happily excluded ang mohs of acceptable age gap - hey, true love is blind; false love isn't. Just like that oh-so-famous line from Full Metal Jacket: "Me so horny, me love you long time..."
With this in mind, I was flipping through the Sunday Times when I encountered an article on page 12 entitled Python Squeezes pet dog to death at River Valley condo. Leaves so much to the imagination, the headline does.

I am the wife of Matt Walterhausen (MW), well definitely his EX wife now because I had no idea that he had "pulled" another woman. The dog that was killed by the python was my dog - I am the legal owner of Bella, my Jack Russell. MW had Bella on the condition and who had promised to return her to me in early 2007 - due to the strict Australian quarantine laws. We had lived in China prior to my return to Australia.
I couldnt care less about the fact that he has "pulled" a young beautiful woman - what I do care about is the deception - if I had of known the real situation I would have made other arrangements for Bella to do her quarantine with friends in other countries - I am heart broken by her loss and somehow feel responsible because I made the mistake of trusting a man I was married to for almost 9 years...
